Armada Announced as a New Team Sponsor in March for Babies
The Armada Group, a premier Silicon Valley-based professional services firm, was announced as a new corporate team in the annual March of Dimes “March for Babies” kickoff luncheon. The March for Babies Silicon Valley event will be held on April 24, 2010. The announcement was made on February 10, 2010 at the annual kickoff luncheon for The March of Dimes “March for Babies” program. Armada employees have participated in this event for the past 3 years.
Armada’s efforts with The March of Dimes are internally spearheaded by Lisa Sullivan, Vice President of Client Relations. Sullivan notes “Giving back to our community is a key part of Armada’s culture and the “March for Babies” has a special place in our hearts. We believe that The March of Dimes provides a real service towards ensuring that every baby has a healthy start.” Sullivan adds, “In past years, Armada’s participation at the March of Dimes walkathon has been followed by our semi-annual Consultant and Client Appreciation party. This has been a very popular way to combine company teambuilding with community contribution.”
During the recent Silicon Valley March for Babies Kickoff Luncheon, Sheila Jordan, Vice President of Communication and Collaboration IT at Cisco Systems noted that the success of the Walk for Babies event relies on dedicated teams coming back year after year. On behalf of both Cisco (the division sponsor for The March for Babies) and the March of Dimes, Ms. Jordan recognized new corporate teams participating in the 2010 march, including The Armada Group.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide and its premier event, March for Babies®, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
